🌿 Casa Basilico — Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all Casa Basilico chapter bookings, as well as the Casa Basilico Passport. By completing a booking or purchasing a Passport, you agree to the following terms.

1. About Casa Basilico

Casa Basilico is a coliving experience operated by Casa Basilico OÜ, registered in Estonia. We host coliving chapters around the world, gathering people who value community, shared meals, and slow travel.

2. Culture Fit Call (Before Booking)

To maintain the Casa Basilico vibe and ensure a great experience for everyone, all guests must complete a Culture Fit Call before joining a chapter.

• No payment is collected before the call.
• If accepted, Casa Basilico sends a payment link to secure your spot.
• If you are not accepted, the booking does not proceed (no payment, no refund needed).

3. Booking & Payments

3.1 Payment Timing

Once accepted after the Culture Fit Call, guests pay the full amount to confirm their room.

3.2 Installment Plans

Casa Basilico may approve case-by-case installment plans upon request. Installments do not affect the cancellation or refund rules.

3.3 Inclusions

Your booking includes accommodation, utilities, and the community experience. Extra activities or events may have additional costs.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Refund rules depend on when the booking was made.

4.1 Bookings Made Before 1 December 2025

• Cancelling 60+ days before the chapter: Full refund
• Cancelling less than 60 days before: No monetary refund (credit may be offered at the team's discretion)
• After the chapter ends: No refunds or credits under any circumstances

4.2 Bookings Made On or After 1 December 2025

• Cancelling 60+ days before: 50% refund + 50% travel credit (valid 12 months)
• Cancelling less than 60 days before: 0% refund + 50% travel credit (valid 12 months)
• After the chapter ends: No refunds or credits under any circumstances

Important: Refunds can only be processed before the start date of the chapter. Once the chapter begins or has already taken place, no refunds or credits can be issued.

5. Travel Credits (Standard Bookings)

• Valid for 12 months
• Can be used for any chapter
• Issued under the guest's name
• Non-refundable
• Transferable once with written request

6. Casa Basilico Passport — Additional Terms

These apply only to Passport purchases.

6.1 What the Passport Includes

• Casa Credits (€1,000 each)
• Priority room selection
• Passport savings (5–20%)

6.2 Payment & Validity

• Credits are non-refundable
• Valid for 24 months from purchase
• If a chapter booked with credits is cancelled, credits are reissued for 12 months
• Credits may be transferred once to another person with approval

6.3 Savings

Savings depend on the number of credits purchased and may combine with The Casa Journey loyalty program (maximum total: 30%).

7. Respect for Shared Spaces

Guests agree to:

• Treat shared spaces with care
• Clean up after themselves
• Be mindful of other guests
• Maintain a friendly and respectful environment

8. Damages

Guests are responsible for any damage they cause. They must report damages immediately and may be asked to cover repair or replacement costs.

9. Liability, Safety & Insurance

9.1 Personal Belongings

Casa Basilico is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of personal items.

9.2 Health & Medical

Guests are responsible for their own travel and health insurance and for handling medical situations independently.

9.3 Safety

Guests acknowledge that shared living and group activities involve inherent risks and accept responsibility for their participation.

9.4 Infrastructure & External Events

Casa Basilico is not liable for issues caused by local infrastructure (power outages, internet failures) or events outside our control.

10. Photos & Media

Casa Basilico may capture photos or videos during chapters for marketing or community documentation.

You may opt out by sending a written request before your stay. Opt-outs are always respected.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Estonia.

13. Force Majeure — Added 18.03.2026

Neither party shall be held liable for non-performance caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control that were unforeseeable at the time of booking ("Force Majeure Event"). Force majeure events include, but are not limited to: war, armed conflict, acts of terrorism, natural disasters, government-imposed travel restrictions, airspace closures, pandemics, or similar extraordinary events.

For a Force Majeure Event to apply, the circumstance must directly and materially prevent the guest from attending the booked chapter. Increased cost, inconvenience, or disruption to a separate itinerary does not constitute force majeure if alternative means of travel to the chapter destination remain reasonably available.

Where a valid Force Majeure Event applies, Casa Basilico will issue a full travel credit valid for 24 months, usable on any future chapter. No cash refund is provided for Force Majeure cancellations unless otherwise required by applicable law.

The guest must notify Casa Basilico in writing as soon as reasonably possible after the Force Majeure Event occurs, and must provide supporting documentation (e.g. flight cancellation confirmation, government travel advisory).

14. Prelaunch Chapters & Waitlist Fee — Added 18.03.2026

Casa Basilico may open certain upcoming chapters for early registration through a paid waitlist ("Prelaunch"). A non-refundable waitlist fee may be required to secure a spot in the prelaunch queue.

14.1 Fee Refund — Casa Basilico Cancellation

If Casa Basilico cancels a prelaunch chapter, the waitlist fee will be refunded in full to the original payment method within 14 days.

14.2 Fee Refund — Guest Cancellation (30+ days before chapter start)

If a guest is unable to join for any reason and notifies Casa Basilico in writing 30 or more days before the chapter start date, the waitlist fee will be converted into a travel credit equal to 100% of the fee paid, valid for 24 months and usable on any future chapter.

14.3 Fee Refund — Guest Cancellation (less than 30 days before chapter start)

If a guest cancels or is unable to join less than 30 days before the chapter start date, the waitlist fee is non-refundable and no travel credit will be issued.

14.4 Conversion to Booking

Acceptance of a prelaunch guest into a chapter is subject to the standard Culture Fit Call process. Payment of a waitlist fee does not guarantee a booking. If a guest is not accepted following the Culture Fit Call, the waitlist fee will be refunded in full.

15. Final Notes

We aim to keep these terms fair, transparent, and simple. By joining Casa Basilico, you're joining a warm community that values respect, honesty, and shared memories.
