Banana House
This is where Casa Basilico was born. 7 rooms, ocean balconies, the beach a 5-minute walk away. Open every month of the year now, not just summer. Pick yours, from €997.

What to expect?
Banana House is where Casa Basilico started. A 7-room house in Ponta do Sol, the south-coast village in Madeira that locals know for its microclimate (warmest, sunniest corner of the island) and the rest of us know because the Digital Nomads Madeira community moved in years ago.
Catarina ran the place for four years before us. 180+ remote workers came through. We took over in May, kept the soul, swapped the format. Instead of a fixed-cohort summer chapter, this is our first always-on home. One month minimum, no cohort, year-round.
You wake up to the ocean. You walk five minutes to the beach, the coworking, the cafés. You bump into the same nomads three times a day because Ponta do Sol is small like that. The Digital Nomads Madeira Slack has 1,500+ remote workers in it, the weather sits at 18-22°C all year, and one-month stays tend to turn into three.
Prices start at €997 for the budget room. 2 months gets you 10% off, 3+ gets you 20%. Deposit reserves your spot, balance settled a few weeks before you arrive (we'll email you the details closer to the date).

FOOD
We cook at home most nights. Italian, generous, always with a glass of wine. When we go out we hit the family-run spots Catarina spent four years curating. Poncha bars, the fish places in Câmara de Lobos, the bakery doing the best malasadas in Madeira.

COMMUNITY
Ponta do Sol is one of Europe's strongest digital nomad hubs. A 1,500-person Slack community, year-round meetups, the kind of village where you bump into the same people three times a day. We pull our house into all of it. Shared dinners, group hikes, Wednesday networking nights.

ADVENTURE
Levadas you've never heard of, surf at Madalena do Mar, the Cabo Girão skywalk most tourists skip, sunrise from Pico do Arieiro. Weekends are packed with trips the Slack community drops in #pds-activities every Friday. You don't plan. You show up.

More than a room!
You're getting us. Two community managers living under the same roof, taking care of you 24/7. Something breaks, we fix it. You want to know the best beach, the cheapest SIM card, the place the locals actually eat at? It’s all provided. Hungry after long day at work? Dinner is served with a glass of your favourite wine.
You're getting weekends we've already planned. Surprise trips, boat days, hikes, long lunches in places you wouldn't have found on your own. You don't lift a finger, you just show up. You're getting cooking classes, welcome dinners, spontaneous pasta nights, and a group of people who were hand-picked to make sure the vibe is right.
So yeah, the room is part of it. But the room is honestly the least interesting thing we offer.
